Web CME Help:

1)   Immediately upon entering the Web CME, the presentation will start to play automatically. To access other Speakers, click Speakers on the navigation bar inside the Web CME window. A separate window will open. Click a presentation title to see another Speaker. The window will close and the program you selected will start inside the Web CME window. Repeat these steps to view all of the presentations.

2)   The Real Player toolbar can be used to start, stop and move through the presentation. The triangular button will start the audio. The square button will stop the audio. Drag the slidebar left or right or click the left or right arrows to go forward or back to earlier points in the presentation. Click the horn icon to adjust the sound.

3)   Clicking any item on the navigation bar of the Web CME window will open a separate browser window which can be closed by clicking either the Close (X) button for each window or the Close Window link.  Use a window's title bar to drag a window to a new location on your screen by placing the mouse cursor on the title bar (the topmost bar of the window) and holding down the mouse button as you drag the window.

4)    If you elected to view this WebCast for CME/CE credit, at the conclusion of the WebCast click the CME button on the navigation bar to go to the Program Evaluation and Answer Sheet. In order to receive CME/CE credit, participants must print out, complete and return this form to the American Academy of CME, Inc. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader version 4 or above to view the evaluation form. If you don't have Acrobat Reader installed on your computer, you can download it for free at Adobe.com. Clicking the link inside the CME window will start Acrobat Reader and display the form. To print the form or save it as a file to your computer to print later, click the Save As and Print buttons on the Acrobat Reader toolbar.

Viewing the WebCast:

The WebCast is best viewed at a resolution of 800 x 600 or higher using Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or later.  To determine what version of Internet Explorer you have, click Help inside your browser window and then About on the Help menu.  To upgrade Internet Explorer, please go to the Microsoft web site. 

In addition, your browser must be Javascript enabled. To determine whether your browser has this feature turned on:

Right click on the Internet Explorer icon on your Windows Desktop and click Properties in the shortcut menu. The Internet Options dialog box will open. The version of Internet Explorer you are using will determine where you'll find the settings. You'll find the settings either under the Advanced tab or the Security tab. Under the Security tab click the button for Custom Level to find the settings. Check to see whether the enable option for Scripting is selected. If not, click Enable to select it and then click OK to save your settings and close the dialog box.

Player Info:

You need RealOne Player version 2 or later installed in order to hear the WebCast. You can download the RealOne Player plug-in for free from the links listed below. After downloading, you must install the player to hear the WebCast.

Which Internet Connection should I choose?

If you are dialing in to connect to the Internet, check your modem speed. Dial-up modems are either 28.8 K, 33.6 or 56.6 K. If you are using a high-speed connection, such as ISDN, T-1 or DSL, choose the 100K option. If you are not sure of your connection, choose the lowest speed.

What is Buffering?

In order to start streaming audio, buffering must occur. Buffering is the player’s way of accumulating enough data to start streaming content. Bandwidth and Internet connection speeds can influence the length of time of the buffering. Sometimes buffering occurs because of net congestion (too much traffic on the Web). In this case it is best to try again later.

Why won't content Play?

First, check and make sure you have the most recent player installed on your computer (see Player Info). There can be a number of reasons why content will not play. You may possibly be experiencing net congestion (too much traffic on the Web). In this case, try again later when the network is less congested. You may possibly be experiencing Firewall problems. Why can't I hear the audio?

In order to listen to audio on your computer you must have a speaker and a sound card installed in your computer. Make sure you have both of these. If you still cannot hear anything, try raising the volume on your speakers.
